Friday May 4th, Ambulance 3-7-3 and Squad 3-7 assisted Station 89 with a Mock DUI crash scenario at Twin Valley High School.
The scene was organized by the local fire, police and EMS service agencies including EMS Stations 89 and Fire Station 69, to create the most realistic scene possible. Their hope is to increase awareness and encourage students to make wise choices when it comes to drinking.
Every year in the United States, students are killed or seriously injured from the result of a DUI related crash.
Teenagers are the most at risk age group for dying in a car crash, and every 32 minutes in the U.S. a person dies as a result of an alcohol-related fatality.
